Thankyou for this guide to installing the home theater. I like the one beneath where it says “Smart TVs”. The surge protector is definitely a good idea. That will protect all the valuable electronics.

Having a home theater will definitely pay for itself in time. If you go to the movies for $20 a person, a few times a month, thats hundreds of dollars a month. A home theater system would pay for itself within a year. That was why I got a home theater system. We got a big 4K TV and lots of great seats, as well as everything else you said. So, it has been very complete.

I like to watch Lord of the Rings over and over but sometimes my family wants to watch something else, so, OK! It’s nice to have.

Exactly, everything you just said was right on point. A Home Theater is great investment for your wallet, your family, and yourself. Also the Lord of the Rings is a classic, it’ll never get old lol.

Thanks for very thorough and informative article on creating your own home theater and basic stuff needed for it! I changed for projector some time ago but I still need to replace my very old and bad speaker setup and get some solid 7.1 home theater setups plus good surge protector(s). I will bookmark this article for further use, thanks for sharing.

Well you have certainly given me some wonderful ideas and we are in the process of moving into a new house for which some of these ideas will be amazing.

I especially love the room with the bar counter at the back. I am sure my husband will go for this one too but he will just choose to have an even bigger TV screen.

This is awesome! I absolutely love these home theater room ideas. You have considered everything. Even the universal remote. I know it can get things all mixed up having all those gadget’s remotes separately.

I think one of the best parts of staying at home is that we get to spend time with the family doing something that all like without spending a dime.

Almost every home you come across has a theater room or going to get one. They’re useful and they save money. It is one of the smartest investments you can make for your home.

It has always been my dream to have a small theater room when I get a house. It will be in my basement. I haven’t been to theatre in years! I am just too afraid of bed bugs and I am tired of all the overpriced popcorn. Regarding to the projectors, don’t they have their life span? I read it somewhere that they can run 5,000 hours or something and you have to change the lamp, I could be wrong. I will check Sony projector out. Thanks for all the tips and recommendations 🙂

Yeah going to the movies is just out of style now with the uncomfortable seats and overpriced snacks. But Most projectors have a lifespan from 2,000 to 5,000 hours and that is a lot of movies you’ll be watching Then you have to replace the lamp which is a simple process that you can do yourself. Thank you for your comment.

Glad we can help. Of course, speakers are one of the most important items when building out your Home Theater room. The 7.1 surround sound will give you the superior audio that you are looking for.
