Let’s jump right into it.
How Did We Chose Our Top Robot Vacuums?
The HEP Team spent hours upon hours researching the entire robot vacuum market, going through numerous of product reviews and consumer reports, figuring out which vacuums continually showed positive reviews and high ratings.
We made it a focal point of our research that your robot vacuum should have sensors to avoid getting stuck in tight places and bumping into everything in your home, has to be equipped with cliff detection so it won’t go for a tumble down a flight of stairs, and it ABSOLUTELY must be able to leave your floors free from dust and debris.
Once we concluded our research, we came up with 10 top-notch vacuums that would perform great within any home setting.
Are Robot Vacuums Worth It?
Most of the time, traditional vacuums are cheaper than robot vacuums. The vacuums in our lineup range from $200-$700, but the return on your investment is significantly higher than what you would get with a traditional vacuum.
Robot Vacuums are more convenient and useful because of the time and energy you save, they don’t take up a lot of space due to their compact size, their more advanced than traditional vacuums as they use memory chips to remember where all your furniture is placed, equipped with WiFi and Amazon Alexa for hands-free commands, easy-to-dump dustbin with filters that prevents allergens from spreading through the air, and many more. The number of benefits can go on and on.
So unless you just really find enjoyment in vacuuming, Robot Vacuums are definitely worth the investment.

Shark ION Robot 750
Editor’s Rating: (4 / 5)
List Price: $349.00
$222.99 at Amazon – See It Now
Pros: Affordable. App control. Quality cleaning. Quiet while cleaning. Magnetic strips included. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility.
Cons: Occasionally gets stuck under low furniture.
The adorable Shark ION Robot 750 gets the job done when it comes to cleaning carpet and bare floors, all under $250 which is a STEAL. However, the Shark 750 does not make floor plans for cleaning like more expensive models, it just moves randomly throughout your home. But still is very effective in doing so.
It comes with its own personal app that is available on IOS and Android so you won’t have a problem finding a device to run the app on.
The app lets you schedule what days and time you want the Shark 750 to get to work and it also notifies you of how much battery is left. When the vacuum is low on battery, it automatically sends itself to its dock for a recharge.
You don’t have to waste the energy trying to find the vacuum, pick it up, and take it back to its charging station. The battery lasts for a solid hour before it makes its way back to the dock for a recharge.
The vacuum comes with a magnetic strip that you lay out on the floor to signal the vacuum that you don’t want that room or area cleaned. This comes in handy when you have valuable statues or glassware on the floor that you don’t want toppled over when it’s cleaning.
Another great feature of the Shark 750 is that it is SUPER QUIET. Sometimes you won’t even notice its cleaning around you while you’re relaxing on the couch.
Most importantly, it is equipped with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa support which is handy because you can tell the vacuum to perform any action without having to use the app or your cell phone. Awesome right? I know.
Eufy Boost IQ Robovac 11s
Editor’s Rating: (4 / 5)
List Price: $229.00
$224.00 at Amazon – See It Now
Pros: Quality cleaning. Powerful Suction. Color options with black or white. Edge cleaning is impressive. Affordable.
Cons: No App control. No Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant compatibility. No WiFi.
The best thing about the Eufy Boost IQ Robovac 11s is that it cleans EXCEPTIONALLY well. Doesn’t matter if it’s on carpet or bare floors. It comes with two standard settings: Low and High Power.
In our tests, it had no problem picking up all the debris ranging from dirt particles, pet hair, large food crumbs, and cereal all on the first pass-through. The Eufy was able to pick all those things up while still being on “Low Power”. Just think how much powerful “High Power” is.
The Eufy navigation is random but this works to the the Eufy’s advantage because it is able to go back and clean those missed spots. We were very impressed with its edge cleaning feature as it was able to maneuver tightly around objects to ensure quality cleaning.
On “High Power”, the Eufy battery lasts for about an hour and on “Low Power” it was able to last for about an hour and a half before returning to its dock for recharging. Based on the results, we found no reason to use “High Power” unless your deep cleaning your carpets.
However, the Eufy is not equipped with WiFi or an personal app, but the remote is very useful.
With the remote you can command the vacuum, schedule cleaning times, enable spot mode where it cleans in a spiral pattern to quickly clean up messes, and directional buttons to clean up spots where it’s missing.
All in all, the Eufy Boost IQ Robovac 11s is the best robot vacuum for under $250. Guaranteed.

$89.99 at Amazon – See It Now
Pros: Sleek and Slender design. Good battery life. Budget-Friendly.
Cons: Average carpet cleaning. No App control.
The Pure Clean Robot is one of the smallest and cheapest robot vacuums on the market.
Pure Clean’s size is one of its greatest advantageous because that allows it to get under and around obstacles easily. It will be able to pick up all that old dirt and dust that has been stuck under your bed for years.
The Pure Clean works best at picking up debris from hardwood floors, but becomes fairly average when cleaning on carpet. Since it being so small, it has trouble picking up large debris such as cereal or large particles of dirt.
The navigation of the Pure Clean is random but still does a good job navigating throughout your entire home. It has an hour and a half of run time before it needs a recharge.
Unlike other more expensive robot vacs, the Pure Clean doesn’t automatically makes it way back to it’s charging station when it’s low on battery. You will have to find it and plug it into the charger.

Cons: Small dustbin.
The Ecovacs Deebot N79s is one of the most popular robot vacs on the market due to its reasonable price and positive reviews.
The pickup ability on the Deebot N79s is awesome. Whether it was on high or low power, it had no problem picking up fine debris such as pet hair to large debris such foods crumbs and dirt.
The navigation is random but this works well for the Deebot N79s because it’s able to go back through and clean spots it missed before and provide a deeper cleaning for spots it already cleaned.
The battery life has to be the greatest asset for the Deebot N79s as it has a longer run time than more expensive robot vacuums.
On low power, it is able to clean for about two hours and on high power it is able to clean for about an hour and twenty minutes before AUTOMATICALLY returning back to its docking station for a recharge.
To control the Deebot N79s, you can use either the remote or the personal app. They both let command the vac like it’ a remote control car and schedule cleaning times. But the app is more useful because it keeps you updated on when you have to change out the filters and cleaning brushes.

Pros: Able to effectively clean multiple floor surfaces. App control with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility. Slim design to get under low furniture. Virtual Wall Barriers.
Cons: Battery could be longer.

The Roomba 890 has a lot more cleaning power than its previous models and it is well-capable of cleaning bare floors and carpet, room by room, with no problems at all.
The navigation is random, but still makes it way through your entire home and able to clean areas that are overlooked and often missed. It’ll run for about an hour before making its way back to its dock for a recharge.
To start a cleaning cycle, all you have to do is hit the big “Clean” button in the middle of the device or start it through the personal Roomba app.
The app is super easy-to-use as it enables you to start and stop cleaning cycles, schedule cleaning times, and notifies you on when the bin is full or finished cleaning. It even notifies you when the vacuum gets stuck and needs your help. Crazy right? I know.
The slim and low-profile design of the Roomba 890 lets it easily slide under your furniture to clean what you would have missed with a traditional vacuum.
Don’t worry about if you have stairs in your home because the Roomba 890 has IMPRESSIVE cliff detection. It knows when it’s near a cliff and how to avoid it. So you don’t have to come home to a robot vacuum suicide.
Another cool thing about the Roomba 890 is that it comes with a virtual wall barrier. This prevents the vacuum from going into rooms or areas that you don’t want cleaned.
Overall, the IRobot Roomba 890 is a smart and powerful robot vacuum. I have no doubt it will perform awesome in any home setting.
Eufy RoboVac 30C

$299.99 at Amazon – See It Now
Pros: Powerful suction. Cleans well on carpet and bare-floors. Smart Vac. Self charging vacuum. App control with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Magnetic strips included. Quiet cleaning.
Cons: Edge cleaning feature is mediocre.
The Eufy RoboVac 30c only adds to Eufy’s extensive track record of producing high quality and affordable robot vacuums.
The RoboVac 30c has powerful suction and performs excellent on both bare and carpet floors. It comes with three different power options which are: Standard, Boot IQ, and Maximum.
With Boost IQ, the vacuum automatically switch into that mode when it think it needs it. What it does is that it conserves that vacuums battery power while still maintaining forceful suction and has a run time up to two hours. So when it senses that it is having a hard time cleaning, it switches into Boost IQ mode.
On Standard power setting, it has a run time up to an hour and a half. On Maximum setting, it has a run time up to 45 minutes before automatically making its way back to its dock for a recharge.
You have a few different options when it comes to starting a cleaning cycle with the RoboVac 30c: push the big power button in the center of the device, pressing the play button on the included remote, pushing the start button on Eufy’s 30c personal app, or asking Alexa or Google assistant to start a cleaning cycle. Convenient right? I know.
If you want to keep the vacuum out of certain areas or rooms because you got glassware or cables on the floor, you can do that easily with the included boundary strips.
The low-profile design of the RoboVac 30c is another awesome benefit because it makes it easy for it to slide right under your furniture and clean places that haven’t been touched in years.
Overall, I was very impressed with the capabilities of the Eufy RoboVac 30c. It cleans the exceptionally well on multiple floor settings, quality battery life, and most importantly, it’s AFFORDABLE. Can’t beat that.

Pros: Good navigation capabilities. Creates detailed and interactive map of your home. Self-emptying dustbin. Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatible.
Cons: Expensive and Recharging Dock takes up a lot of space.
The Roomba i7+ is one of the premier vacuums in IRobot’s lineup of “Smart Vacuums”.
What I mean by that is that some Roombas are simply just programmed to clean your floors while some of the more recent models offer smart app control such as the I7+.
The app is really cool because you can schedule cleaning cycles, create a weekly cleaning routine, and the Smart Map feature even lets you choose which rooms you want cleaned on which days.
The Smart Map feature lets the I7+ map out your entire home. You will have to enable this feature through the app and the vacuum will begin to map out your entire home on each cleaning cycle.
It take 3 to 4 cleaning cycle for the I7+ to generate a full blueprint of your home. You can label the rooms on the map so you can activate the vacuum to clean specific rooms.
This feature creates a purposeful cleaning pattern to ensure that your entire home is cleaned from top to bottom (well just bottom since the I7+ can’t climb walls. Be cool if it did though).
Anyways, the one feature that sets the I7+ apart from other robotic vacuums is that it can empty ITSELF. It comes with a special dock that is equipped with a dustbin.
So whenever the vacuum bin is full from cleaning, it’ll automatically make its way back to its dock to empty itself and then resume cleaning. Impressive right? I know.
The cleaning performance of the I7+ is superb as it is able to effectively clean both carpet and bare floors. It has no problem picking up fine debris such as pet hair all the way up to large debris such dirt particles.
However, it does have a run time of only 25 minutes. But don’t be discouraged, it automatically makes it way back to its dock when it has low battery, recharges up, then resumes cleaning.
If your a clean freak and you always like to keep your home neat and tidy, the Roomba I7+ is an purchase that will provide a return on your investment for years to come.
Neato Botvac D7
Editor’s Rating: (4.5 / 5)
List Price: $829.99
$689.00 at Amazon – See It Now
Pros: Excellent laser navigation. Handles multiple surfaces well. Detailed and interactive app. Cleans edges and corners professionally. App-based virtual boundaries. Conservative Battery usage.
Cons: Expensive and Small Dustbin.
The Neato Botvac D7 is one of the most popular and highly rated vacuums on the market because of it advanced software and cleaning features.
The Botvac D7 key features include zone cleaning, multi-floor support, virtual no-go lines, and supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant which works great with its laser-guided navigation system. All these key features are accessible through the Botvac D7 personal app.
The design of the Botvac is shaped like the letter “D”. This works to the vacuum advantage because with a flat front and flat sides, it is able to hug walls more closely and fit into corners than other circular robot vacuums.
The design of the Botvac D7 combined with its laser navigation enables it to get within millimeters of the wall instead of centimeters unlike other robot navigation’s do.
The cleaning performance of the Botvac D7 is INTELLIGENT and EFFICIENT. It easily able to clean multiple floor setting due to its powerful suction and wide roller brushes underneath it.
Most roller brushes on other vacuums only take up 50% of the vacuum while the Botvac D7 roller brushes almost takes up the entire width of the base.
Plus, the new zone cleaning feature is a great addition as it is a far more effective spot cleaning feature that is now done by room or sections of a room.
The Botvac D7 automatically calculates how long it takes to clean each section in your home, then it determines how long it needs to charge in order to clean your entire home quickly.
This cuts down on charge times because it is only charging up as much as needed to complete the entire house unlike other vacuums where they head back to the charging station whenever they have a low battery.
The Neato Botvac D7 is one of its kind and I have no doubt it’s one of the smartest robot vacuums out right now. However, it does come at a price. But if money is not an option and you want the best robot vacuum out right now, I do not see why would you pass up on a vacuum of this caliber.
Editor’s Rating: (3.5 / 5)
List Price: $260.00
$158.99 at Amazon – See It Now
Pros: Affordable robot vacuum. Slim design so it can easily slide under low furniture. Cleans edges and corners better than some more expensive vacuums.
Cons: No App control. Mediocre cleaning on carpet flooring. Not WIFI compatible.
The iLife A4s is a pretty simple vacuum. It doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles like other more expensive vacuums, but it is still effective and produces good work at an affordable price.
The suction power on the iLife is solid. It performs well on hardwood floors, but it tends to struggle on carpet, especially thick carpet. It’s just not able to maneuver around as effectively, so it’ll have go through it a few times to achieve a deep clean.
It has 2 modes of cleaning which are standard and Max. As soon as you turn the Vacuum on, it’s automatically in standard mode. To change modes to maximum power, all you have to do is press down on the “Max” button on the remote.
In my opinion, maximum power is way more effective than standard, it’s just that the battery doesn’t last as long. But it automatically goes back to it’s dock whenever it needs a recharge then it can resume cleaning.
The navigation on the iLife is random, but this works in favor of the iLife because it is able to go back through and clean those missed spots or give a deeper cleaning to spots that it already covered.
With it’s slim and low-profile design, the iLife is able to slide smoothly underneath all your furniture and clean up all that dirt, dust, and food crumbs that have been trapped under there for years.
The Edge Cleaning on iLife was another aspect of the vacuum that I was very impressed with. When going around corners of walls and around the edges of your furniture, it has these long brushes that are able to reach up and sweep whatever dirt that is on the floor into the vacuum.
This feature is just as effective as some of the more expensive robot vacuums.
Now it doesn’t come with a personal app or has WiFi so that you can control it from other devices, but the remote is really simple and easy to use.
You can schedule cleaning cycles throughout the day, control its movement with the directional pad in case it missed a spot, and even enable spot cleaning where it cleans in a spiral pattern to quickly clean up messes.
Overall, The iLife A4s is a basic robot vacuum that can get the job done. It may not have all the cool features other vacuums have, but it will do the one thing you purchased it to do which is vacuum the floor. Did I forget to mention the best part? It’s AFFORDABLE.
Samsung POWERbot R7070

$629.00 at Amazon – See It Now
Pros: Excellent camera-based navigation. Powerful suction. Able to clean multiple fl oor settings. Cleans edges and corners proficiently. Smart Vac. App control with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility.
Cons: Bulky so it won’t clean under low furniture and expensive.
The Samsung POWERbot R7070 is the latest generation of Samsung’s robotic cleaners and and already one of its most advanced too.
This is not a bump vacuum cleaner. Usually with robotic vacuums, they roam around and bump into everything in their path to get a feel of your home.
With the R7070, it has cameras and a ton of sensors to give it guidance throughout your home. Most of the time, it will approach furniture in your home and won’t even touch it. Just go and clean right around it.
The suction power on this thing is MIGHTY. It almost has the suction power of a traditional vacuum and is easily the strongest vacuum in our lineup.
It performs awesome on multiple floor settings. It even comes with a carpet detection feature that ramps up the motor whenever it detects it’s on carpet for a deeper cleaning.
The R7070 has three mode settings which are normal, max, and quiet. It is really no use to use the maximum setting because it gets the job done on normal setting and automatically switches to maximum when it detects it is on carpet.
But if you want it to quietly clean in the background while your reading a book or watching TV, then the quiet setting becomes really useful.
If you ask me, I believe that it’s one of the most attractive robot vacuums out right now. It has a really cool and sleek design and it’s”D” shaped so it can clean walls and edges more effectively than a circular robot vacuum will.
The edge cleaning feature is superb because it is able to get right on the wall and rub itself right off it while pulling in all the dirt.
To control the R7070, you can use the touch controls on the device itself, the remote control, or the personal smart app.
The app is super cool because it Android and IOS compatible, so you can use it from multiple devices. The vacuum does true mapping which makes a layout of your home once it’s completed a full run and is available within the app.
With True Mapping, it is able to clean your home intelligently and efficiently. Making sure it cleans your home from front to back. But it does have a run time of an hour before making its way back to its dock for a recharge before resuming cleaning again.
All in all, the R7070 is a powerful and intelligent robotic vacuum. If you want a robot vacuum that is going to get the tough jobs done and look good while doing it, then check out the Samsung POWERbot R7070.
