I loved your article. You have very good tips. I need some motivation for my cleaning. One thing I do try to do is make sure my bed is made every morning. I will have to try your tip #2 and start timing myself in doing my cleaning. That may be something that could really help. Another tip I like is to do a little each day. Sometimes I get overwhelmed and that keeps me from getting things done. Thank you so much for these tips. I definitely will try some.

This is a really useful article for me. I love things clean but I tend to not do anything for a while and then have crazy days where all I do is clean. One exception to this is washing – I always seem to have the washing machine on! Your tips will help me get a better sense of balance about my cleaning regime – maybe now I can do a little at a time and my house will always be clean!

Hi and thanks for the motivational cleaning tips. Sometimes it’s difficult to just get up and do the things that need doing in the house, as I think you can defeat yourself mentally before you even start. I know I do at times. Once you get going though it’s fine. Mind over matter. And with less helpful tips it will be more productive too. Thanks again Kenny

    HI Jordan,

Thanks very much for taking the time to write this article about keeping your home clean and organised, it’s greatly appreciated.

This article was quite timely as I have been struggling with keeping my home clean and tidy since my son arrived. He is now 1 years old but it’s hard to keep everything tidy. You’ve given some great tips here that I will be looking to implement. I particularly like the one about cleaning as you go… it makes the major cleans so much quicker.

    Thanks again Jordan.

    Cheers,

    Shane

I like all of the great tips you give on how to keep your home clean and organized.  I always make the bed every morning, it just makes me feel better, and I do laundry twice a week, and it really helps to cut down on the time spent doing laundry.  Doing little tasks daily definitely helps to keep things clean and organized, that way you don’t have to spend an entire day cleaning.  I really like the idea of using an iRobot vacuum, it would make my life so much simpler.

I like your ideas, clean as go is something I learned while I was managing restaurants and is a habit that i think everyone should learn and utilize. The weekend is far to short to use for major cleaning. I have also always wondered about those vacuums and their ability to pick up pet hair because I have three animals and a small child in the house. Very helpful and insightful article.

The automatic vacuums are hassle free and is a great addition to your cleaning tools.

Organized and clean space can actually have a positive input on your overall health. keeping a clean, organized home is less about the time involved and more about creating some good habits. Making a list of what you would like to get done first and then prioritize what needs to be done after that and what can wait is a great way to organize and clean your house. I really enjoyed reading this blog. Thanks for sharing.

These are some great tips.  My house is always getting dirty and it is a drag to have to keep cleaning.  I try to get eveyone to clean up after themselves but no one wants to do that.  It would be a lot easier if everyone just cleaned the mess they made when they made it.  clean as you go so you don’t have to clean all the time.I really like the remote vacuum idea.  Something, simple and easy and can be very very helpful, especially with all that pet hair everywhere.
